The 90 Minute Balloon ride is an event that is planned to be hosted at the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science, UNT. The plan is to launch a near-space expedition that can take images and log data for 90 minutes. Weather balloons play a crucial role in the community by giving us cautionary details for weather. *In the event that there is a lack of proper sponsorship, the host has opted to do a model rocket launch instead. Rockets are a good hobbyist activity and they gather useful information as well. Regardless, the launch must go on. Objective: Raise STEM awareness but in the form of hobbyist activities. Host: BUILD TAMS Venue: TAMS (1701 W. Sycamore Denton,TX) Time & Date: TBA To help out and for more details:Email: balloonride@groups.facebook.com www.facebook.com/groups/balloonride/
